Stephanie Grasso
Stephanie Grasso is a Reiki Master Instructor in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Tradition. She started her journey with Reiki in 2012 in New York City. Later, upon starting her Reiki Master training, Stephanie founded Bryn Mawr Reiki Center in 2021. Upon moving to Montclair, NJ, she transformed her practice into Montclair Reiki Center. Stephanie is also an authorized presenter of the contemplative practices of The 3 Doors Academy and will be entering their teacher training program in January 2026.
About Stephanie
This Reiki Practice is the culmination of my dedication to the contemplative arts and Reiki itself, along with my former experience of coaching educators for the past decade. In 2007, I paused a doctoral program at UCLA, after completing my Master’s degree, to try my hand in education in New York City. While I enjoyed being a part of a founding faculty for a new school, I practiced yoga and began to explore alternative healing, which eventually led me to Reiki. At the suggestion of a friend, I enrolled in my first degree Reiki class in 2012, and later my second degree class in 2013.

For several years, I studied and practiced Reiki in New York City at New York City Reiki Center with my teacher, Brian Brunius. There, while working as a Reiki practitioner, I began to integrate my former coaching expertise to support clients with Reiki. As a practitioner of Katonah Yoga, a form of Hatha Yoga based on Taoism, I have developed a deeper understanding of how the body functions and how we can create a sense of well-being within ourselves.

Reiki has brought me many gifts over the years, one of the most important being my meditation practice and lineage. Most recently, I finished a two and half year meditation program with The 3 Doors Academy in April of 2022, which is affiliated with Ligmincha International, located in Shipman, VA. In September 2024, I completed the Presenter’s Path of The 3 Doors Academy - and am now authorized to guide others in the contemplative practices of The 3 Doors. It’s through my meditation practice that I decided it was time to begin my Reiki Master Training in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Lineage.

In my work with clients, I see myself as a facilitator - someone to hold the space, to listen and to support the desired change. While the practitioner administers the treatment, I am just the conduit - I can reflect back to you while you, your body and Reiki do the work. I still thoroughly enjoy working with children and love to support them in their emotional, social and even academic growth through Reiki. It’s my wish that this practice will serve you and your family.
